The painful truth is out šŸ˜ All our prayers and thoughts with Gordon Ramsay šŸ˜³

Chef Gordon Ramsay had a bad biking accident that left him badly bruised.

Over Fatherā€™s Day weekend, the famous chef and TV host shared on social media about his accident to remind everyone to wear a helmet. He described the scary experience, saying he needed medical help and felt lucky to be alive.

ā€œWith Fatherā€™s Day tomorrow, I have a very important message for all the dads out thereā€¦ WEAR A HELMET!ā€ Ramsay wrote in a post showing his big bruise.

ā€œThis week, I had a really bad bike accident in Connecticut. Iā€™m okay and didnā€™t break any bones or get seriously hurt, but Iā€™m pretty bruised up, looking like a purple potato,ā€ he continued.

ā€œIā€™m thankful for all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London who took care of me, but most of all, Iā€™m thankful for my helmet that saved my life. Have a great Fatherā€™s Day and stay safe. Gx.ā€

In the video he posted, Ramsay said, ā€œThe doctors, nurses, and surgeons who took care of me were amazing. But really, youā€™ve got to wear a helmet. It doesnā€™t matter how short the trip is or how much the helmet costs; itā€™s essential. Even for kids, on short trips, they need to wear a helmet.ā€

ā€œNow, Iā€™m lucky to be here. Iā€™m in pain. Itā€™s been a tough week, and Iā€™m just getting through it.ā€

His fans quickly posted comments wishing him well.

ā€œI thought it might have been a small crash, but that bruise shows otherwise! Glad youā€™re okay,ā€ one person wrote. ā€œIā€™m very glad we didnā€™t lose this legend. Thank you for spreading awareness, Gordon. We need more people promoting health and safety. Proud of you,ā€ another added.

Weā€™re glad Chef Ramsay didnā€™t get more seriously hurt.
